The shape of the chair presents a semi-supine state, which makes a relaxing feeling when people sit. This design is derived from

the curvilinear back design of the Barcelona chair in the Bauhaus movement. The chair we designed that the seat part is not

parallel to the ground, as Barcelona chair design. In order to create a sense of leisure from the appearance of the chair, The

back of the chair will not be perpendicular to the floor but will be tilted at an angle. That's exactly what we designed the chairs to

do, The back of the seat will be perpendicular to the seat of the seat, but because the back is not perpendicular to the floor, the

entire seat is tilted. When people sit down to this chair, the back of the chair will support the person, share the weight and relax

people’s body.

The chair looks a bit like an "h" from the side, but the front support is at a 70-degree angle to the ground, while the back support

is at a 55-degree angle to the ground. This makes the chair look a bit like a recliner, but not very tilted. The back support is

arc-shaped support formed by cutting arcs through customs. The arc shape design can effectively share the pressure when

people sit on it. There is no armrest design for the whole chair. We tried to add armrest elements, but it will make the whole

chair look not conform to a concise style. In order to conform to the concept of Bauhaus design, we removed the armrest design.

In terms of appearance, we have largely retained the original color of the wood but painted the right side of the chair black. The

back of a chair and seat part will use the canvas material of the white color of a large area, the back is not to use canvas entirely, can

reveal the wood inside and paint red. The effect that presents is the white of large area and small area black, use a red dotted

line to disconnect in the middle. The implication of this design is to show the racial discrimination caused by skin color and the

marginalization of black people.

In terms of materials, our team will buy recyclable wood and canvas from the second-hand furniture market. These materials

are recyclable and environmentally friendly. As for the connecting part, we will purchase wood nails and reinforcement materials

from Bunnings. The chair maximizes the style and color of the wood itself, showing others that it is a sustainable chair
